In the rapidly evolving world of decentralized finance, users often face fragmented experiences when staking assets across various protocols. The challenge was to design a unified platform that simplifies this process, making asset staking intuitive and accessible for all users.

🔍 Research Insights
We spoke with users across varying experience levels in DeFi — from first-time stakers to experienced validators — to uncover friction points in existing platforms. Key takeaways • Most platforms felt overwhelming to new users due to unclear language and cluttered interfaces. • Users wanted to understand staking rewards, gas fees, and timeframes before committing. • Experienced users prioritized efficiency, wanting less clicks and more visibility on reward performance. We also audited competitor dashboards to identify what worked, and where others fell short in terms of hierarchy and transparency.
🧱 Design Strategy
The solution needed to balance clarity for beginners with efficiency for power users. Our approach: • Create a clean, modular dashboard that allows users to connect wallets, explore protocols, and stake—all from one unified space. • Prioritize educational affordances (tooltips, inline explanations, guided flows) for new users. • Enable advanced users to skip handholding, view protocol performance at a glance, and manage multiple staked assets easily.
🎨 Design Prototyping & Planning
We mapped key user journeys across 3 flows: → Connect wallet → Choose protocol → Stake → Monitor rewards → Unstake assets → Manage active stakes and analytics Using Figma, we developed interactive wireframes, then transitioned into full high-fidelity prototypes. Each view was designed responsively for desktop and mobile.
🧪 Testing & Iterations
Prototypes were shared with internal users. Feedback surfaced around these that were then addressed: Button hierarchy was unclear — we restructured CTAs to create clear primary/secondary flow. Mobile UX needed refinement for protocol detail views — we adjusted collapsible states. We logged changes, updated specs, and coordinated with developers for staging previews.
🚀 Outcome & Final Designs
The final dashboard allows users to confidently explore staking options, track rewards, and manage assets—all in one place, regardless of experience level.
